Safety First Pest Control | Bed bugs are small parasitic insects that look reddish-brown, with a flattened oval appearance. They feed on the blood of warm-blooded animals like humans at night and will hide in crevices of mattresses, box springs, bed frames, and behind headboards during the day. Bed bugs are mostly active at night and can feed on their human hosts in relative secrecy. Bed bug bites can cause skin rashes and allergic symptoms. If untreated, bed bug infestations can become very large and will often migrate to other rooms or apartments.
